Project Instructions
Moon Phase Project
Write your name and birthday on the print out.
Glue the print out to the back of your grey paper.
Bring your work Mr. Aktas to look up the moon phase of your birthday.
Use the circle tool to make your moon.
In pencil...
Sketch the shape of your birthday moon
Write "Moon Phase" or "Lunar Cycle" at the top.

Illustrate your pencil lines with marker
Get your work checked by Mr. Aktas and get the oil pastels. Use lots of colors and make small circles
Use your finger to BLEND the oil pastels. Don't forget to use dark colors for the dark side of your moon.
Step-By-Step
Write your name and birthday on the sheet.
2. Glue the moon sheet to back of your GREY PAPER.
3. Ask Mr. Aktas to look up the moon phase on your birthday (bring your grey paper)
4. Use the circle tool to make a circle on your paper.
5. In pencil, write Moon Phase or Lunar Cycle, your birthday, the moon phase, and your name.
6. With Marker, Illustrate your pencil lines.
7. Ask Mr. Aktas to check your work to get oil pastels. Use lots of layers with small circles.
8. Use your finger to blend the oil pastels. Don't forget to use DARK COLORS to make the darker side of your moon.
