Instructions: Highlight each challenge that your team completes. You can complete these in any order and can complete some challenges at the same time. Please have your MENTOR CHECK YOUR WORK before moving on. Yellow sounds blocks can NOT be used for this project but green music blocks are permitted.
Building Challenges
(Easy) Modify the look of your robot to be a specific type of dancer
Ballet Dancer, Break Dancer, Tap Dancer, Fighting Dancer, Other _____________ (circle one or fill in the other space)
(Easy) Name your robot ____________________________________________
(Medium) Design a removable accessory your dancing robot can hold or wear. Make 5 exact copies to hand them out to the other teams.
(Medium) Change length of all the robots arms.
(Hard) Change the length of the robot's legs in a way that allows him to still dance without breaking or jamming.
(Hard) Design a stage the dancing robot can perform on.
(Hard) Design an additional moving object your dancer can dance with.
Coding Challenges
(Easy) Make your robot move with code (any movement is great!)
(Easy) Make your robot SLOWWWWW dance.
(Easy) Use the music blocks program your robot to include the code from "sample A"
(Medium) Code your robot to dance at different speeds using the color sensor. Refer to “sample B” on the back of this page.
(Medium) Make your robot dance, play a beat, and light up the hub.
(Medium) Add a pressure sensor to your build. Program your robot to dance slowly ONLY when the button is pressed in.
(Medium) Change out the color sensor and replace it with the distance sensor. Using “sample C”, include blinking eyes into your robot's dance.
(Hard) Program your robot to move its hips with the beat of music blocks.
(Hard) Make your robot move faster the closer an object is to the distance sensor.
