Direct Quote Basics
Step. 1 Find an interview
Find an interview with a music artist, celebrity, or famous person...
Use the key phrase "Interview with...."
Step 2. Watch and write
Listen to the interview WITH PAPER AND PENCIL.
You are going to write down 3 different things your person says. Use captions if you need.
Step 3. Use the poster.
Use the poster to transform your notes into direct quotes. There are 4 ways to write a direct quote using the poster. Use a minimum of 3 on your own work.

Step 5.1 Pick a template
Must have the grey rectangle!
Step 5.2 Copy
Copy the template to your google drive
Step 5.3 Design
Include the following
name of artist / celebrity
picture of artist / celebrity
3 direct quote sentences
your name
"Madison Yearbook"
the year
Step 5.4 Download & Submit
Go to:
-File
-Download
-JPEG image (current slide)
Do not forget to submit your image to canvas!

Grading Rubric:
5pts Participation --> Work of any quality is submitted.
2pts Complete --> Work is a .jpeg file and includes a picture, 3 quotes, "Designed by...", "Madison Yearbook", and the year.
3pts Grammar --> Work uses all the following punctuation correctly: spaces, commas, periods, capital letters.
