In art, a study is a drawing, sketch or painting done in preparation for a finished piece, as visual notes, or as practice. Studies are often used to understand the problems involved in rendering subjects and to plan the elements to be used in finished works, such as light, color, form, perspective and composition. An art study is, basically, any action done with the intention of learning about the subject you want to draw. You can study by drawing, sculpting, reading, or even just looking at something.

In your sketchbook practice sketching two different images you will use in your watercolor artwork. Please make sure to complete the following requirements:
4 Sketches total of at least two different images
Sketches are at least 3 inches by 3 inches large (small sketches DO NOT COUNT)
