Makerbot Flash Drive 3D Printing
- Open the MakerBot Print Application
2. Log in with the following credentials
Username = jamesmadisonmiddleschool
Password = @madison32796
3. Click the "Add Printer" button
4. Click "Add an unconnected Printer"
5. Select the Makerbot Sketch
6. Press the down arrow to hide this tool bar.
Note* You will need to have your .stl file downloaded to continue.
7. Click the folder Icon in the top left.
8. Follow the Steps
Click the add model button
Select your "Downloads Folder"
Select your .stl file
Select Open
9. Fix Model Size
Our model is toooooo small
Click the "i" button
Select the drop down
Select Inches
10.1 Rotate Object
Click on the "Orient" button
Click "Place Face on Build Plates"
10.2 Rotate Object
Left click on the BOTTOM of your object (use the side because its a clean flat surface)
Click "Bottom" when the pop up appears
11. Center the Object
Click the arrange button
Click "Arrange Build Plate"
This will center your object on the build surface
12.1 Print Options
Select the Gear to open up the sub menu
Click "Custom Settings"
12.2 Print Options
Click "Base Layer"
Select the drop down for raft and select NONE
Hit Done
13. Save your g-code to a flash drive
Press Export
Select the flash drive you plugged into the computer
name your gcode file to "lastname object"
example "aktas namecube"
Press Export
14. Use the USB flash drive to print

14. Use a glue stick to apply a layer of glue to the print bed

Watch to make sure the 1st layer STICKS!!!!! if it does not please cancel the print.
