A. Write the text you want
B. Change the font to your preference
C. Options
Make the Letters OVERLAP some
MAKE THE LETTER THICK this is the "Width" setting. If your letters are too thin then the wood will BREAK!
Make the lines and fill black
3. Take a Screenshot
Use the "Print Screen" button "PS" on your keyboard to save the image to your clipboard

4. New AutoCAD
Create a new "acad" template document in AutoCAD
5. Layout
Go to the Layout1 in the layout tabs
6. Delete Viewport
Select the viewport object from the EDGE and delete it
7. Rectangle
Make a Rectangle that is 9in by 3in
8. Paste
Paste your screenshot
9. Resize
A. Turn off all the Status Bar Options
B. Move the text to the bottom left corner using the MOVE command
C. Resize your text to fit INSIDE the box
10. Layers
A. Open the layers panel
B. Lock Layer "0"
C. Create a new layer called drawing
D. Make that layer blue
11. Polyline
A. Switch your active layer to "Drawing"
B. Use the polyline to start outlining your text
C. Turn your end point object snap back on (use the command OSNAP)
12. Warning
A. No holes (requires us to unhook the scroll saw blade each time, we will not be doing that)
B. Connected (Make all the letters touch)
You will use LINES and the TRIM commands to make the rivers and bridges
CHECK WITH THE TEACHER BEFORE YOU SUBMIT
13. Hide Layer "0"
Click the yellow lightbulb on layer "0" and turn it blue to turn it off
14. Plot
Use the command "PLOT" and match the settings to convert your work into a .pdf document
15. PDF
Name your pdf and save it to a location you can find again
16. Office
Go to Launch Pad and Open Office 365
17. Outlook
Open Outlook
18. Email your PDF
A. Create a new email
B. Address it to aktas.daniel@brevardschools.org
C. Set the subject of the email to "woodshop"
D. Write the following
Mr. Aktas,
Please find attached my woodshop blueprint.
Respectfully,
[Your Name]
E. Attached your pdf woodshop blueprint
